I hope everyone can help congratulate Jennelle at the next meeting, she was just awarded Microsoft MVP status in Windows Desktop Experience on January 1st. This is a pretty big deal as there are only approximately 4,000 MVP’s worldwide. We are fortunate enough to have several associated with our user group but adding another is wonderful!

Congratulation to Jennelle, great job and keep up all the good work. If you haven’t checked out her blog yet you should, it is at www.techbunny.com. She is also on twitter.

Meeting Agenda:

We will be hearing from Amit Malhotra with Bakbone Software. Amit has 15 years in technology, product development and leadership experience with companies such as HP, Sun, Xerox and Trilogy. As part of his role in Corporate Development and Strategy, Amit is leading efforts to introduce new technologies and offerings to BakBone’s customers and evolving a customer centric strategy for solutions that are relevant, simple and effective. Amit will be presenting on the NetVault®: FASTRecover™.

NetVault®: FASTRecover™ provides disk-based, real-time data protection for Exchange, SQL Server and Windows File Servers. Lightning-fast recovery of these applications and associated data to any-point-in-time is made possible with patented Virtual On-Demand Recovery ™ technology, which makes very large data objects available for use almost immediately after recovery has been initiated. For example, Exchange databases can be mounted before the recovery is complete, allowing users to send and receive email. NetVault: FASTRecover works with existing backup applications, so no rip and replace is required.

Bakbone is on twitter.
