Pacific IT Professionals is an independent non-profit professional association for IT Managers, Server Administrators, Network Administrators, and other IT Professionals who job it is to deploy, maintain, upgrade, support or troubleshoot Windows Servers or workstations, Exchange, SQL, IIS, Apple, Novell, Linux, and network equipment such as routers, firewalls, in business environments.

The group meets monthly to share experiences, troubleshooting techniques, problems with products, security concerns, and to learn about the latest Microsoft technologies.  The group was founded in 1985 and meets monthly in downtown San Francisco on the first Tuesday of the month.  The monthly San
Francisco meeting is web-simulcast live to meeting locations in Sacramento, Fresno, Reno/Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Silicon Valley, Santa Rosa, and Los Angeles.  Other monthly meetings take place in Pleasanton, Pleasant Hill, and Los Angeles.

Pac IT Pros has special internet meetings on PowerShell, SQL, .NET, Exchange, Microsoft CRM, IT Security, Office Communications Server, Networking, Mobile computing, and Microsoft's Small Business Server.
All IT Professionals are welcome to attend; there are no dues, meeting or membership fees.  To become a member, just fill out our on-line registration form and get involved by attending meetings or other events or on-line.

Pacific IT Professionals has been designated a 501 (c) (6) by the IRS and is a California Corporation.

Who are Pac IT Pros members PDF Print E-mail

Pacific IT Professionals is comprised of IT Managers, Server Administrators, Network Administrators, IT Support staff and other IT Professionals.  There are currently over 4,600 memebers.

42% members work for companies of 1,000 users or more.
41% members work for companies of 100 users to 1,000 users.
6% members work for companies of 25-100 users.
11% members work for companies of 25 or less.

Purchasing power

In a recent independent audit it was found Pac IT Pro members support over 7,500,000 users.

Of our members 82% are influence IT purchases and 57% of those are the decision makers who make IT purchases.

IT Internship Program PDF Print E-mail

Pacific IT Professionals in partnership with Diablo Valley College and the San Francisco Treasure Island Job Corps offeris interns to Bay Area Businesses.

How does the program work?
Businesses - Submit your request in the form of a job description to the Pac IT Pros Intern program. Include: type of work, skills required, location, (city or area), hours, length of internship, and if any stipend or if any remuneration is being offered.  Provide some background information about your organization and work environment.   Requests can be sent to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Pacific IT Professionals will forward your request to eager to work interns.  Interested interns will submit resumes which we will pass on to you.  It is then up to you to screen and interview the candidates. The decision to use the intern is yours.  In return for job experiance, some interns may receive college credit for their internship.
